Best Footballer of the NCAA College of All Time

Herschel Walker is the greatest footballer of all time football. Why? Because no one has ever transformed the college football program in the way that Herschel did for Georgian Bulldogs. And, he did it for only three years of college play. At that relatively short time, Walker won more yards than any other player ever at the University of Georgia – or in most other colleges on that issue.

Herschel Walker was born in Georgia, where he would rarely rule the world of football at college on March 3, 1962. At first you would not have thought that Walker would return to an animal in the football field because when he was young, he did not show any desire to play sports. Indeed, Walker was a fiery reader, and he wrote poetry a lot of time. However, when Herschel was 12 years old, something happened that made him take on an incredible exercise program. Through the next year, Walker ran thousands of miles, and took up to 100,000 seats, and 100,000 push-ups.

In 1979, years ago Walker graced the field for Georgia Bulldogs, he led the Johnson County High School in the state championship game, where he was recognized by the Parade magazine as the national high school back-of-the-year. The University of Georgia was already monitoring its progress in the background, and they will reap the benefits of a National Championship in 1980, with Walker as their first star. Some of Herschel's other achievements included the Heisman Trophy victory in 1982 and three All-American awards.

Viewers were accredited to Walker's physical presence and talent. By the time he was 18, he already had the body of an NFL star. When he left the Bulldogs in 1983 to become a professional football player and joined the USFL team, New Jersey, he set 141 records for the University of Georgia, 6 SEC records and 11 NCAA records .

When the USFL was disbanded, Herschel became the 114th choice in the 5th round of the 1985 NFL draft. During the 1988 season, while he was with Cowboys Dallas, he led the NFL League to rush.

Herschel Walker's extraordinary athletic skills went far beyond the football field. It was developed at UGA. He was at the 1992 Olympics – at the Bobsled team.

Amazing, just amazing. Undoubtedly, Herschel Walker was the best player in college football history.

Of course, some would vote for Red Grange as the best footballer in college history.
